wiseacre, yes The Mount gardens are very formal, but still worth seeing.  Aspects of the design can be translated into many home gardens ... the balance, repetition, structure, and flow.  The stonework in the hidden garden is spectacular.  It reminds me of Roman ruins.</description>

But there&#039;s a part of me that longs for some symmetry and order, so I enjoyed the vicarious stroll through The Mount&#039;s gardens. I especially like the hidden garden. It is indeed a peaceful place, and I like the scale of it and the arched windows.</description>
