November 15, 2009.  It's a stretch to find bloomers in November in south central Connecticut.  Mostly you have to look low, where this thyme hugs the ground and nearby steps so it can soak up any lingering warmth.

Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day-a tardy entry

Ipomea-alba white moonflower-4 9-09 September 16, 2006 – and birthday wishes to my first-borne.  Yesterday was Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day; a monthly event originated by May Dreams Gardens when garden bloggers post whatever is blooming in their gardens for everyone else to see.  Travel and some computer issues (lost many photos including those of my peegee hydrangea) kept me from posting yesterday but  - better late than never – here's what's blooming in joene's garden.

GB Bloom Day-August

morning glory 7-09 perennial sweet pea-1 8-09 August 15, 2009.  It seems that summer-type weather – hot and humid – has finally arrived in Connecticut.  Morning glories to start the day and sweet peas grow not too far away.
