And a new season begins

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA A year ago my gardens had a blanket of about two feet of snow.

This year the gardens have seen only a few light dustings of snow.

I shiver at the sight of bare frozen perennials standing tough with no white protective cover. But snow is coming. I know it’s coming.

Soon – I’m thinking positively here – my gardens will look more like this and I will rest more comfortably knowing my gardens are asleep under a welcome winter blanket.

Bon hiver … good winter.

Don’t your winterberry red berries look nice against the snow!

The winterberries will look just as nice this year, Laurrie, all they need is snow.
