Happy Spring! Once again we have proved that great minds do indeed think alike...

Thank you for the daffodils, I miss them so much here in Dubai. I have set your picture as my wallpaper to remind me that somewhere in the world there is such a thing as seasonal change, not just various degrees of hot...

I know we are in pretty much the same climate, at least the same state, but your gardens are always weeks ahead of mine! My iris reticulata just started blooming and my daffodils are only green tips just now. I come over here to your blog to see what should be blooming in my garden. Your posts are such a tease -- and such a welcome sight!

You are very welcome, Ulrike. I'll make sure to post additional photos as the others bloom. I don't think I would be very happy living where seasons don't change the weather.

Laurrie, it's not unusual for there to be such a spread in bloom times within zones. Just a few miles from my gardens, closer to the CT river, things often bloom a week before they do here. The variations just allow us to enjoy blossoms longer.

Joene,

For positive inspiration, you offer some of the best. Your photos are always lovely and make me think I'm right there next to the blooms. What could be more inspiring than an outdoor garden!

Thanks, Jackie. The two most humbling things I've done are raising kids and gardening ... both constantly and firmly remind me that 'other' forces are at work.

Spring is still in a dead sleep here. Glad to know she's yawning and stretching in other places.

Christine, I bet spring is stirring under all your snow, you just can't see her actions yet.

These little Tete-a-Tetes are great for easy, early color, Deborah.

Oooh, spring just keeps on coming doesn't it...I just learned our trip to DC for spring break coincides with the Cherry Blossom festival...cannot wait...

You are indeed lucky, Babette, to see the cherry trees in blossom.
